About The Experience
Over three consecutive nights (Thursday – Saturday, 6:30PM – 8:00PM), you’re invited to be part of our very first trial of the African Food Safari — an immersive dining and storytelling experience celebrating the rich culinary traditions of North, East, and Southern Africa. As part of this exclusive trial, you’ll enjoy incredible meals while helping us test, shape, and refine the experience before its public launch. Each night, you’ll dine at a different African restaurant, where you will: • Savour traditional African dishes, prepared with authenticity and love. • Learn about the cultural significance of each meal and how it’s traditionally shared and enjoyed. • Hear the inspiring stories behind the restaurants and the passionate chefs who bring these flavours to life. • Immerse yourself in African hospitality through warm conversations and shared experiences. • Provide valuable feedback to help us improve and bring the final African Food Safari experience to life. Why a Trial Tour? This is an opportunity for us to: • Experiment and fine-tune the experience • Test our storytelling flow • Capture photos and videos for future promotion • Gather honest feedback from YOU — our first-ever guests! The Itinerary: Thursday – Moroccan Cuisine at Marrakesh Restaurant (North Adelaide): Your journey begins in North Africa at Marrakesh Restaurant, where you will indulge in an authentic Moroccan dining experience. Delight in traditional dishes such as couscous with beef stew and sip on refreshing mint tea as you learn about Morocco’s vibrant food culture and rich culinary traditions. Friday – Ethiopian Cuisine at African Village Centre (Torrensville): On the second night, we travel to East Africa for an authentic Ethiopian feast at African Village Centre. Here, you’ll experience the communal and flavourful tradition of injera, Ethiopia’s signature flatbread, served with a variety of spiced stews and lentil dishes. Learn about the significance of Ethiopian coffee and the rituals surrounding this ancient beverage. Saturday – South African Cuisine at Aunty Meg’s Kitchen (Adelaide CBD): We complete our journey in Southern Africa, where you’ll enjoy classic South African comfort food at Aunty Meg’s Kitchen. From the flavourful bobotie to the famous bunny chow, you’ll discover the rich fusion of influences that make South African cuisine so unique. Finish the tour on a sweet note with traditional koeksisters or peppermint tart.

This trial dining experience operates as part of a fundraising initiative in support of the Masoka Village project — a community-driven event celebrating African culture and storytelling. 1. Purpose of this Trial This is a test version of the African Food Safari, offered at a heavily discounted rate (or for free to Masoka Village donors) to allow us to: • Test and refine the tour program • Experiment with our storytelling approach • Capture photos and videos for promotional purposes • Gather valuable feedback from participants By participating in this trial, you agree to the following: • This is a test experience — expect pauses, adjustments, and possible small hiccups as we take notes or refine the delivery. • You will be asked to provide honest feedback about your experience. • Your feedback may be used in grant applications and shared publicly for marketing or promotional purposes. • Photos and videos will be taken throughout the tour. By booking or accepting a free ticket, you consent to being photographed or filmed for reporting and promotional purposes. 2. Tour Dates & Attendance The African Food Safari Trial will run over three consecutive evenings, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm each night: • Thursday 8th of May • Friday 9th of May • Saturday 10th of May Your booking secures your place for all three nights. If you cannot attend any of these evenings, please notify us at the time of booking so we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list. Please note: Rescheduling to future trial dates will not be possible, as this is a one-time trial event. We kindly ask for your commitment across all three evenings to help us deliver a full and rich testing experience. 3. Use of Funds There will be no profits made from ticket sales for this trial. The discounted ticket price covers restaurant and operational costs only. 4.
