Once threaded in hair, now celebrated as jewellery—echoes of traditions that have survived the test of time
These handcrafted earrings are more than just accessories—they are symbols of survival and resilience. Made from wire and satin thread, each pair draws direct inspiration from the centuries-old African practice of hair threading. Once an everyday art form used to style, protect, and adorn hair, threading carries with it the wisdom, beauty, and endurance of African women across generations.
By reimagining this ancestral practice in jewellery, these earrings honour not only the craft itself but also the broader story of African traditions that have endured against the odds. Each twist and wrap of thread is a tribute to the creativity and strength of African culture—reminders that traditions, when cherished, continue to thrive in new forms.
These earrings are lightweight, vibrant, and deeply meaningful: wearable heritage that connects past and present, style and story, resilience and beauty.
